Whatt, spearheading the breaks movement out of the
west coast, release “Broken Floor” on
EMUOR Records / Streetbeat Records on July
17th , this new 74 minute mix compilation
will feature an all exclusive track listing by 2 Bad
Mice, Dynamix II, Brooklyns Poor & Needy, Jim
Hopkins just to name a few. “Broken Floor”
mirrors their live sets, a fast paced breaks set with
very little breakdown throughout the mix and exclusive
material that each artist produce, remix or re-edit
that are kept only in their bag of goodies for the
masses.
“We wanted to showcase all the sounds the breaks
community has to offer. Whether it was the “Funky
4 B-Boy” from Italy, “Happiness, Is Just
Around The Bend” from U.K. or “Organika”
from Spain. The globe is well represented on this
mix” say Madame Mercury & DJ Whatt.
About Madame Mercury & DJ Whatt
Madame Mercury & DJ Whatt have been able to plant
deep roots within the breaks community. Having achieved
great musical status at an early age by playing over
75 gigs per year, producing globally released material
surpassing sales over 75,000 units and being featured
in print ads from Tascam to Blue Marlin and being
sponsored by Tascam, Blue Marlin and Zero Halliburton.
The two are pretty amazing at an age when most DJ
/ Producers are just figuring out the truth of the
music world. Co-Owners of EMUOR, a label that has
over 20 vinyl releases set for the year, they are
currently working closely with publishing companies
and major label across the world. Working with such
companies gives placement of EMUOR tunes on EA video
games, TV and movies. The CD and the shows will display
all the hard work they put into the music scene and
their fans and colleagues will appreciate it.
